Rutgers University estimated that over the 30-year life of the facilities, BlueOcean Energy would provide $1.5 billion in compensation for the direct and indirect jobs generated by the liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal's construction and operation. Most of the indirect employment resulting from the project's ripple effects would be in business services, along with financial, retail, manufacturing, construction and transportation.
