BlueOcean Energy will be sited, designed and operated to respect the value of the New Jersey and New York coast.

New supplies of clean-burning natural gas can help reduce air emissions – and improve air quality – including a reduction in the need for new coal-fired power generation.

Natural gas has a growing role to play in helping the New Jersey and New York region meet clean energy objectives.

We recognize and respect the value of New Jersey's coast. Located about 20 miles off the New Jersey coast and 30 miles off the New York coast, the BlueOcean Energy LNG (liquefied natural gas) terminal will not be visible from the New Jersey shoreline or the New York shoreline.

BlueOcean Energy will comply with all applicable federal and state requirements in the design, construction, operation and decommissioning of the floating ocean terminal and pipeline.

Federal laws prohibit drilling or producing oil and natural gas in waters offshore New Jersey. BlueOcean Energy is not a hydrocarbon-producing venture.

An assessment of the project's potential impact on fisheries will be part of the permitting process.
