Over the past 125 years, Exxon Mobil Corporation has evolved from a regional marketer of kerosene in the U.S. to the world's largest publicly traded international oil and natural gas company. With operations in most of the world's countries, we are known by our familiar brand names: Exxon, Esso and Mobil.

Our global reach includes energy production in 24 countries, and natural gas sales across five continents. We have interests in refineries in 21 countries, and we market products through more than 32,000 retail service stations. We are also a petrochemical industry leader, with interests in 49 facilities worldwide that make petrochemical building blocks for thousands of consumer goods.
At ExxonMobil, we are committed to excellence in safety, health and environmental performance. In 2007, we continued to lead the industry with our record-low incident rates for workforce safety and health.
We also continued to improve environmental performance across our business. Through efficiency actions taken in 2006 and 2007, we reduced greenhouse gas emissions by about 5 million metric tons in 2007, equivalent to removing about 1 million cars from roads in the United States.
